Harriet grew up on an arable farm in Cambridgeshire before studying Agriculture with Crop management at Harper Adams University. During her degree she worked for BASF, where she conducted agrochemical trials across East Anglia, experiencing firsthand the development of pesticides. After graduating Harper Adams she worked for Boxford Suffolk Farms as a Pest and Disease Specialist, which involved crop walking and advising on a range of fruit crops, breeding beneficials and managing their R&D programme.

Harriet moved up to North Lincolnshire in 2021 where she continues to farm combinable crops and supply Longhorn beef direct to customers. She is BASIS and FACTS qualified and advises farmers on combinable cropping, potatoes, maize and sugar beet alongside environmental schemes, grants and other aspects of the farming business.
